Hi, my name is Anne
I self-define as a disabled person and am a Carer. I have experienced accessing and using Social Care for myself and those. I have and do Care for.
I have worked in a variety of roles as a professional within Social Care Services. I currently work in the voluntary sector and am currently in a paid role with Promo Cymru.
I have connections with The Mentor Ring, Taff Housing, and Cardiff University through the Dementia Research project.
My reason for being involved with the Lived Experience Collective is that I want to influence and drive changes in how research is undertaken, increasing accessibility and inclusion for everyone. Most specifically for those who experience exclusion and marginalisation because they fall within the Nine Strand of Equality. I want ongoing research to result real and lasting change that makes life better forever not just for five years.
I am a parent, grandparent. I like to meet and talk to people from all communities. I read and always have at least two books on the go at once. I enjoy music, good food and fun.
